LONDON, U.K. – Dec. 18, 2017 – International Game Technology PLC (“IGT”) (NYSE: IGT) today announced that its award-winning SPHINX 4D^™ Video Slots with industry-first technology are now live on casino floors across the United States and in select international markets. The SPHINX 4D game is the gaming industry’s first product to leverage mid-air haptic technology and bring an interactive, tactile experience to video slot play.

Players at Station Casinos’ Las Vegas Resort Casinos, Mohegan Sun, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and Casino di Venezia in Italy were among the first players in the world to experience the immersive game.

The Wide Area Progressive (WAP)-eligible game that combines TRUE 3D™, mid-air haptic and gesture recognition technologies is already paying big jackpots.

On Dec. 8, 2017 a lucky player at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. won SPHINX 4D’s $490,506 WAP jackpot with a max-bet wager.
